In 2004 E. N. Hutchinson identified a significant and increasing potential in the market requirement for specialised broodstock feeds. In particular for the large and varied species now being reared under hatchery conditions such as tuna, kingfish, grouper and a host of other species where broodstock may weigh in at over 100kg.

We have developed “no holds barred” broodstock diets designed for optimum nutrition, peak egg numbers and quality. These include all the best raw materials we can source, with a range of ingredients demonstrated to boost survival, including supplemented fatty acids and various pigments.

BROODMAX is a highly digestible steam extruded diet. Due to the often diverse nature of extrusion work ENH Ltd carry out, we have been able to marry technology from unrelated fields in order to make significant advancements in our extrusion processes. It is these advancements which make the properties of our feed so unique.

As well as the best of ingredients, we have developed technology for producing pellets in excess of 20g. No more energy wasted in chasing after 1.5 - 2g (12mm) pellets trying to get a belly full!

And just to complete the picture, we can produce the pellets in a dry or moist format (six months shelf stable!). These moist pellets are designed to tempt those fussy broodstock and tuna who just won’t take a dry pellet, yet they are fully shelf stable and provide all the dietary performance benefits associated with fully compounded extruded feeds.

Product Description: A dry fully compounded steam extruded fish feed, designed for improvement of egg quality in large (10kg plus) broodstock fish. This product is manufactured by E. N. Hutchinson Ltd in New Zealand.

This product is extruded at 90^oC and 500psi, which renders potentially pathogenic organisms inactive. It is then dried at no less than 80°C for no less than 2 hours, to less than 10% moisture.
